Purpose of the post:

Under the guidance of the Chief YCSD section, responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of WASH Programme within the Young Child Survival and Development Programme.

Your profile:

• Advanced university degree in Water and Sanitation, waste management.
• Five years progressively responsible professional work experience in Water and Sanitation, particularly in the area of hygiene promotion and sanitation, social development, project administration, monitoring and evaluation, some at the international level. Community development work an asset.
• Current knowledge of development issues and policies, as well as programming policies and procedures in international development cooperation, particularly in water and sanitation, including hygiene promotion and its links to young child survival and maternal health issues.
• Analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
• Training ability, particularly in sanitation and hygiene promotion with the ability to link it to young child survival and maternal health issues.
• Computer skills, including internet navigation, and various office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
• Fluency in English and another UN language as required. Knowledge of local working language of the duty station an asset.
